The Advanced Membranes and Porous Materials (AMPM) Center is delighted to announce the KAUST Research Conference on Membranes and Porous Materials for Vision 2030 – essential pillars for a sustainable future that will be held on March 13 – 15, 2023.

The conference will bring together the leading experts in the field and will provide an exceptional forum for worldwide scientists to discuss high-impact research topics related to advanced materials science with particular emphasis on the potential engineering solutions for energy-intensive separations in the context of energy security and environmental sustainability.

The topics of the conference will focus on recent developments pertaining to the use of membranes and porous materials in KAUST's core research thrusts of Energy and Environment, whilst the sessions will be organized around the following key themes:

  • Academic perspectives on addressing energy-intensive separations
  • Tools for advancing the discovery and deployment of separating agents
  • Global industrial needs in the context of petrochemical separations

On behalf of the AMPM Center, the center director, Distinguished Professor Mohamed Eddaoudi cordially invites you to join us on a three-day journey of discovery. Meet with scientists from around the world and participate in discussions that will inspire new ideas.

About AMPM Center

The AMPM center aims to develop cutting-edge porous materials, synthetic membranes, and process technologies. Our mission is to substantially reduce costs and mitigate the environmental damage associated with the separation, purification and conversion of petroleum & industrial commodities, activities that currently consume 45-55% of global industrial energy.

We seek to achieve our mission by combining the expertise of both membranes and porous materials scientists and engineers, which makes us a unique center in the world.
