Membranes are to separation what catalysis is to conversion, or simplicity to success: it does more with less (energy). And it does it, building on scientific excellence: advanced polymers, combination of hybrid, doped, intelligent materials… paraphrasing Downton Abbey, KAUST “Advanced Membranes and Porous Materials (AMPM)” Center could claim that “there is never a dull moment in this house/membrane center”…

We, Saudi Aramco R&D, convert this scientific excellence and innovative materials of AMPM @KAUST and others into commercial applications for our operations and businesses. We will present a number of high-impact examples, ranging from MOF to Pd, proton exchange and polymeric membranes, which drive the development of hydrocarbon-based breakthrough, affordable and sustainable energy solutions.
