Biography

Carlos A. Grande is a chemical engineer from South University (Argentina) and a PhD from the University of Porto (Portugal) where he worked as Assistant Researcher for 5 years. From 2011-2021 he worked in SINTEF (Norway) as Senior Research Scientist. In September 2021 he became an Associate Professor in KAUST (Saudi Arabia) where he leads the Laboratory of Intensification of Materials and Processes (IMAP). 
He works in topics related to the digitalization of the chemical industry using a modelling and design to intensify unitary processes. The IMAP core technologies are separation technologies as well as reactor and internals design and manufacturing by 3D printing.
