Biography

Osama Shekhah received his Ph.D. in physical and surface chemistry in 2001 from Freie Universität
Berlin and Fritz-Haber institute MPG under the supervision of Prof. R. Schlögl. He then worked for one
year as a postdoc at the Fritz-Haber institute in Berlin. In 2005 he joined Prof. C. Wöll group at Ruhr-Universität Bochum as a postdoc and later he became a group leader. In 2009 he moved to Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with C. Wöll as a group leader of the SURMOF group. 
Currently, he is a Principal research scientist at Prof. Eddaoudi's group at KAUST, and his research interest includes the growth of MOFs and COFs thin films and their applications like separation, catalysis, sensing, and energy storage.
