On November 5, KAUST president, Dr. Tony Chan was warmly welcomed by AMPM center Director, Prof. Mohamed Eddaoudi and AMPM members during his first visit to the Center. The team highlighted the exciting research produced by the members of the Center and its potential impact on energy security and environmental sustainability; pinpointing the potential it offers to alleviate the energy penalty associated with various industrial energy-intensive separations and to address the carbon capture challenge.
Faculty members, students, researchers, and staff gathered at the AMPM lobby to "meet and greet the KAUST President."
The reception was followed by a walk through the AMPM Center, showcasing the center's unique facilities.
Later, Prof. Eddaoudi presented the overall vision, mission, and goals of the center, highlighting various ongoing research projects and their potential industrial applications.
