AMPM Center develops innovative graduate-level research programs in multidisciplinary areas including nanotechnology, materials science, and chemical, biological and environmental engineering.

AMPM Center research is collaborative and goal-oriented. Our aim is to enhance the prosperity of the Kingdom and the world through innovative research.

Specifically, we focus on important industrial separations using membranes and porous materials. We target highly energy-intensive applications in petrochemicals, natural gas processing, air separation, and specialties. Our research aims to substantially reduce energy costs and increase sustainability through reduced waste production and benign carbon capture technologies. These challenging goals are carried out in collaboration with academic and industrial partners.

Faculty in the Center pursue both individual research projects and collaborative Center themed research
