On Friday 14th December, KAUST honored the accomplishments of Class of 2018 at the University's ninth Commencement ceremony.
Members of the University's Board of Trustees, including Board Chairman HE Khalid A. Al-Falih, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources; senior leadership; faculty; students; and the KAUST community came along with graduate students
in one of the most special days in our academic calendar.
Ceremony speakers this year included KAUST student Nada I. Aljassim, Ph.D., environmental science and engineering; and distinguished guest speaker His Excellency Ali I. Al-Naimi, former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and founding chairman
of the KAUST Board of Trustees.
102 Ph.D. candidates and 141 master's degree candidates receive their diplomas. Twelve of them obtained their Doctorate of Philosophy or Master's Degree under the supervision of faculty in Advanced Membranes and Porous Materials Research (AMPM) Center.
AMPM Center Director, Prof. Mohamed Eddaoudi congratulates the AMPM Center graduates and wishes them the best in their respective careers. "Now you are our new KAUST ambassadors and we count on you to promote KAUST mission wherever you go", he says.
