This in-house built experimental apparatus allows testing membranes under different osmotic processes such as forward osmosis (FO), pressure-retarded osmosis (PRO) and pressure-assisted forward osmosis (PAFO). The main component of the system consists of a custom-designed cross-flow cell that allows the feed and draw solutions to flow on the opposite sides of the membrane.
